The discovery of researchers Hospital House for the Relief of Suffering
Researchers at the Department of Medical Sciences, IRCCS House for the Relief of Suffering – coordinated by dr. Gianluigi Mazzoccoli (medical researcher) and prof. Maurizio Scarpa (responsible for coordination of rare diseases) – have conducted research that could help patients with Hunter syndrome, a rare inherited metabolic disorder that can cause abnormalities in the bones, joints, facial dysmorphism, heart defects and breathing, hyperactivity, abnormal behavior and sometimes learning difficulties.
