Four hundred years after the death of St. Camillus de Lellis

On 2 and 3 February between Manfredonia and San Giovanni Rotondo the events dedicated to the saint

Like every year, on February 2, the world camillian record the conversion of their holy founder, took place in 1575 in the so-called “Valley of Hell”, between Manfredonia and San Giovanni Rotondo. Here the young Camillus de Lellis, at age 25, decided to abandon forever the life crush conducted up to that time to devote to the most needy. Even in 2014 – when we remember the 400th anniversary of the death of Saint Camillus – in the places of the conversion is scheduled an intensive program of celebrations, which are enriched with some significant moments.
